Forward Richard Panik signed a two-year extension with the Blackhawks worth a reported $2.8 million per season.
“Richard made tremendous strides this past year and we were pleased with the consistency he showed throughout the season,” Hawks general manager Stan Bowman said in a statement. “We are looking forward to having him in Chicago for the next two seasons.”
The deal runs through the 2018-19 season.
Panik, 26, is coming off a season in which he had career highs in goals (22), assists (22) and points (44). He was one of three Hawks to appear in all 82 regular-season games.
