The Illinois House passed a massive new infrastructure bill Wednesday.
President Donald Trump has threatened to veto the measure.
The $1.5 trillion dollar bill would provide a big influx of money to fix the country’s roads and railways, as well as schools.
There’s also money to build and protect affordable housing and expand broadband access. There are also plans for Chicago-area transportation projects.
Illinois Congressman Dan Lipinski is on the House Transportation Committee joined WGN News to talk about the bill.
