A man was seriously wounded in a shooting Friday evening in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

At 5:24 p.m., the 30-year-old was shot in his arms and abdomen in the 5400 block of South May, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.
