Man hurt in South Chicago shooting

A man was shot Saturday morning in the South Chicago neighborhood on the South Side.

The 18-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the wrist at 11:17 a.m. in the 8000 block of South Crandon, according to Chicago Police.

Police said his story was inconsistent and his wound may have been self-inflicted. The man took himself to South Shore Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
