Dozens of boys try out for the most prestigious youth soccer team in the area: The Chicago Fire Youth Academy. Boys as young as 9 enter with the goal of becoming professional soccer players. It’s the way the rest of the world operates, and U.S. team coaches think this is a way for America to catch up.
