Bears cornerback Deiondre’ Hall was Tasered, arrested and charged with three counts in the early hours of Sunday morning.
According to the police complaint, Cedar Falls (Iowa) police officers arrived at Sharky’s Funhouse, an 18-and-over bar, and found Hall “flailing his arms and yelling profanity at bar staff and patrons.” When he was removed by an officer, he refused to answer questions, yelled at officers and spat in their faces.
Hall resisted as he was being placed in handcuffs, according to the report, and refused to get in the backseat of the squad car. A female officer Tasered Hall’s left leg to get him to cooperate.
Packers cornerback Makinton Dorleant, who also played at Northern Iowa, was arrested alongside Hall and charged with interfering with official acts.
The Bears selected Hall in the fourth round of last year’s draft. He appeared in eight games, recording seven tackles, three pass breakups and an interception.
Hall was inactive for eight games during his rookie season because of a severely sprained ankle, which required a cast at first.
